Personal Profile

Freelance HR Consultant helping your business to grow through your people.

 

I have 18 years’ experience in HR, leadership and management, and organisational development in a range of environments, and I am level 7 CIPD qualified. Organisational growth is a passion of mine, and I do that through developing individuals and culture, whether implementing HR in a small business, or supporting growth through acquisitions as a Group HR Manager. I chose the humble beanstalk to symbolise great things that result from small beginnings.
I have strong employment relations skills – there’s not much in HR that I haven’t faced and I’m hard to shock – and I’ve a high level of knowledge on all things employment law and best practice. I’m a certified HR geek and am continually updating my knowledge and skills.
I believe people are the key to organisational success, and that business and people practices are more effective when they are aligned with the organisational vision and values.
When I’m not working or studying I’ll be hanging out with my two sons, my partner and our tortoise, or trying to keep fit. I’ve been a slow jogger for years and have just branched out into cricket as the boys love it and I thought if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em! – according to them I’m uncoachable, but I’m loving being part of a women’s team and learning new skills.
