Personal Profile
I established Russell Thompson Consulting in 2013 after a 25-year career in the Utilities Sector across a range of sales, marketing, compliance, project management and strategic planning roles. It was really important to me that the role I embarked on following my corporate career was one that enabled me to achieve my own goals for myself and my family, but also to help and support other business owners achieve theirs. What I soon found was that the skills, experience and practices I had learned on my journey could provide a great deal of benefits not just in the corporate space (minus some of the jargon it must be said!) but to business people like myself – entrepreneurs and small business owners, either setting off on a new path or struggling to make progress on the one they were on. I now work with clients across the B2C and B2B space, helping them take their businesses forward and realise their ambitions. I live with my partner and our two sons in Sheffield and spend my spare time following Football and Cricket.

Russell Thompson Consulting was set up to support & enable Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners to achieve their visions and aspirations for their businesses and create rewarding and enjoyable lifestyles for themselves and their teams. We specialise in helping time-poor business owners find ways to improve their businesses, without having to compromise their focus on getting their day job done. We do this through a combination of approaches, which are all specifically deployed based on a bespoke relationship with our clients with the core principles of effectiveness and efficiency at the heart of everything we do. The mission of the company is to provide opportunities for improvement for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners through the use of best practice, insight, experience, knowledge sharing and time management to create effective, efficient and bespoke plans and strategies.
