Personal Profile
I established DPI Consulting, a provider of on-demand data and information services, in 2016 after a 20 year career working with data to solve problems and improve business performance.
Prior to establishing DPI Consulting, my career spanned leading management consultancies, specialist suppliers and client-side roles where I built a reputation as a highly motivated and trusted leader in my field. I have an enviable track record of defining and delivering transformational business and technology change driven by data, analytics and business intelligence, creating sustainable business value.
My career history spans numerous sectors including financial services, marketing services, utilities, media and pharmaceutical’s where I have led data & MI transformation programmes including the delivery of enterprise data strategies and target operating models. This experience has seen me lead teams of 100 FTE, manage operational budgets in excess of £150m and deliver both operational and strategic projects with multi £m budgets.

COMPANY PROFILE
We provide on-demand data & information expertise, from small engagements such as some advice or mentoring, through to larger scale programme delivery. We can help you solve your data and information problems. We offer 3 broad service types which can be used individually or collectively. Our ‘Review & Audit’ service helps to establish where the opportunities, risks and issues are. Building on this our ‘Strategy & Roadmap’ service develops a plan and secures any required buy-in and investment. Our ‘Delivery’ service is all about turning strategies, roadmaps and plans into reality!
We help organisations improve business performance by realising their data potential.
We believe that businesses need access to data & information leadership skills but not all businesses need or want them on a full-time basis, that’s why our model is on-demand. You pay for what you use – from a few hours of advice to leadership of large data transformation programmes we can help you achieve the outcomes you are looking for.
Areas of specialism include:
> DATA & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: Application of leading edge business and technical skills to review, shape or deliver Analytics, AI, ML, CRM, MDM, Business Intelligence/MI, Regulatory Reporting, Data Quality and Data Governance programmes.
> PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Full lifecycle process change from definition and architecture to Lean based improvement, optimisation and robotic process automation.
> COST MANAGEMENT: Identification and delivery of sustainable multi-million pound cost reduction programmes.

THE NORTHERN AFFINITY?
I had 2 reasons for joining The Northern Affinity, firstly whilst going it alone is a great and liberating experience it can be a lonely existence with a requirement for all sorts of skills you might not be expert at, I see The Northern Affinity as a great way of solving that. Secondly, after a long corporate career I set my business up with a desire to focus on the SME sector, the portfolio of businesses that The Northern Affinity brings together is a great way to network and ultimately help the SME sector.
